Ok Ok seems at least this aspect (crafting table) needs to be copied ;-) BTW minetest wouldn't be that easy if you had animals mod making nights really dangerous ;-) Agreed. But lets, please, leave monsters out. Having dangerous wild animals on the hunt for your hide during the night sounds a lot m...

Do we really need to copy any single aspect of mc? I'm probably the number one advocate here when it comes to separate Minetest from Minecraft but this is not about copying the later but acknowledging good ideas when you see it and cropping the available inventory space we have presently available ...

I like the idea of adding a kiln ^_^ I also still think a workbench should be added and crafting in the inventory restricted (like in MC). Someone also mentioned about a backpack I like the idea of this too you could have a small limited inventory without the backpack but having a backpack on would...

That would be great, but its maybe a technical problem ? Why would it be a technical problem? Although, after posting, I went for a walk and realized that not all roofs have a 45 degree slope. Some have a 30 or 60 degree and other more unusual inclinations. What I meant was to have a specific block...

and why not go the extra length and introduce specifically made blocks for this, cut at a 45 degree angle (tile)?

@ Danny Dark No. The rest of the trees is not in my inventory. although they ended up in there, after I took that picture. And I never intended to mean I thought surface MESE was a bug; but it is, nonetheless, a strange thing to see. But where I live, occasionally, you can find loose pieces of urani...

Tim,

Welcome to the forums and thank you very much for your input. I hope you keep on playing Minetest and, of course, help improve it, as all of us try to.

I'm risking being flagged but... Isn't it enough to say that Minetest is not Minecraft? Lets use this opportunity to part waters and each go its separate way.

I wouldn't say Minetest present textures are "shit" or "shitty"; the worst thing I could say about it would be "crude" and "underdeveloped", which is the mark of a work in progress. And its not about the quality of the textures itself what is under debate here but the options to be made and the dire...

[Discussion] About Minetest default texture pack vote

I've been following the progress of the thread started by Celeron 55 for the default textures for Minetest and I can't avoid having the feeling that most people are putting their two cents into the pot with the feeling that whatever is chosen now it will be irreversible and definitive. Because of th...

Default, as it is.

It's simple, clean and mostly "neutral" in terms of welcoming new players.

Left a comment to. Not my brightest work but it will have to do do.

That guy hasn't made the slightest effort to get to know Minetest. He just gave his opinion. And that's bad journalism.
