I can record, too. The more people the better.

Also, are you saying that players who are killed are kicked from the server? I think some sort of freecam for dead players would be better.

The main reason people have empty passwords is because they don't want to type in a password every time they join a server. It would help more if the client remembered the password. Of course, there should still be an empty password warning on the initial entry.

Can you post the debug.txt? (In the same folder as minetest.exe)

Server History

Minetest should remember all the servers the player has been on. I store a couple server IPs in a text file in the Minetest directory. It would be nice if the game did that for me.

Unless you have some sort of supercomputer, hosting several servers at the same time would result in lots of lag and crashing. But if you can somehow manage it, I'll try out your server.

I got a warning when I went to the main site in Google Chrome. It says the site hosts malware and has infected 1 other site. I only got the warning for the main site, and I haven't been affected by anything. Probably just a bug in Google's malware algorithm.

It's also exploitable. The inventory isn't rolled back with the map. I've mined out the floor of my house several times to get more stone.

Thanks, that worked. It still uses quite a bit of CPU but at least my computer can handle it now.

same for me, i loose 1H of building, because everything disappear after some time... Does this issue is recurrent ?.. (always, all new build is removed after some time ...) Yes, at least for me. I built a lit-up X (for my name) to mark my house, and 15 minutes later it vanished right in front of me...

+1 on the bug. I built a nice little stone staircase here and proceeded to build my (replacement) house. Then I went out to get some stone. The staircase was there the whole time, but when I got back it was gone, except for the top stair.

The new server is a good upgrade. I've noticed almost no lag. Also, I seem to have lost my house... -_- If possible (and if it's not too much trouble) can I get the coordinates? I have a "den" that might be hard to find but I remember it was near Tom's house, so the coords to that should get me on t...

I might be on the wrong track here, but is there a way to limit the amount of RAM or CPU it uses?

My first post was sort of a rage post, so I will clarify things... I have an HP Pavilion g6 laptop. It's not a gaming laptop, but for some reason it runs Skyrim etc. perfectly. I have 4 gigs of RAM and an Intel Core i3 2.40 GHz processor, not overclocked. It has onboard graphics. The other non-Windo...

Extreme CPU Hogging

I was on Redcrab's server a couple minutes ago and I had to disconnect because Minetest was using 40-80% of my CPU, and according to Speccy, both my mobo and my CPU were at 204 degrees Fahrenheit. The max they will go before my computer shuts down automatically is 210. The only graphics setting I ha...
