some people place signs at their construction site that tell you not to enter.
also sometimes, unfinished buildings have leaks in the protection and it's not uncommon that unprotected blocks are stolen.
last week i started a new building at the new designed stone stargate spawn and then a new player suddenly ran into it and "tested" my protection.

...IF SOMEONE WOULD FREAKING ANOY ME NOBODY WOULD CARE ABOUT THAT...

actually they do care, but you have to explain the situation in an appropriate manner.

i noticed that there are a lot of bad talk and complains about admins and moderators on this server.
i don't know when and why it started, but it does have a great influence on new players who don't know the moderators.
i'm happy that i met bonny before i heard all the "bad things" about her.
when i came in contact with Shinji-Ikari for the first time i already heard some seriously bad things about him.
and i must admit that i also had a bad opinion about him even though i never met him.
but i managed not to freak out and cause more chaos and so the situation remained mostly calm and friendly.
and i'm not angry about him. in another game i once had a high-ranking status in a clan and
was also the forum administrator and the person to keep track of the official member list and all that stuff.
and even though i tried very hard to stay calm and friendly at all times,
i was often very suspicious against every new thing that i didn't know about and it was even more hard to stay as friendly as always in situations like this.
and in this case, there was no hate or bad talk against admins.
now imagine the same situation on this server where many people hate admins for no reason.
could you keep your cool?

approximately one third of this thread is spammed with complaints about the admins.
mostly from the same few people.

All i can say is that XANADU is the best SERVER....which is mainly composed of creative builds of amazing players and well maintained by good admins (Shinji and Tenplus1) and moderators and some cobble/dirt tower builders :P.


Note: We enjoy chopping a lot of redwood tree last night(my time). So thanks to those who planted those randomly in green path Public Forest :) . And would you please dont do that again.

Today i was exploring freshly generated areas and noticed how big oceans had grass floor, that turned into dirt within few seconds. Never noticed something like this before, usually its just sand.
I found it quite cool sight of view :)

News from the Underworld
the repairs of the Gateway to the Underworld have reached a stage
where you can safely fall down into the Underworld.
you cannot climb up yet, but at least you can get down again.
with this the Underworld Project is officially re-opened.

News from the Burning Lands
the Obsidian Tower has been removed from the Burning Lands.
my shop is now in the Sol Sanctum near the new Stone Stargate spawn.

the following shops are available:
Sol Shop:
- "Heart of Fire", sells lava orbs
- red wool, terracotta
- coming soon: orange wool, yellow wool, sandstone, fireplace, staff of light, glowstone
Luna Shop:
- coming more or less soon: "Celestial Gate", blue things, crystal spikes

I've enjoyed this server tremendously as well, crafterlouie, neon, Big3Force, you guys are great. I got kicked a few days ago because I used the word freakin and crap because Nyan_cat invited me to be a room mate at her minetest house, then locked it down where I couldn't open the doors to get in or out. She also had invited me to put all of my mined minerals in a shared chest which she locked me out of. I do ask of anyone that if you ask me to help, please make sure your not putting me in a position where I give up all of my stuff so you can just lock me out. Anyway, I did get a new house made. All is well.

using shared protection can be tricky sometimes.
maybe we should build a museum near the spawn that explains all the functions and features.

for now, here is a short overview about shared protection:
- shared chests can be used by anyone who is registered on the name list inside the chest.
- protected chests and protected doors can be used by their owner and everyone who is listed in the protected area.
- you can add other players to your protection by right-clicking on a protection node
and entering the exact player name
- each protection has it's own list, so you have to do it multiple times if you want to share larger areas
- when a protected chest or door is covered by multiple protections,
you have to add the player names to every protection that covers it
- furnaces are the same as protected chests

Well, let me just say how much *I* have been enjoying the landscapes created by this "bug" :)

It is up and it is responsive. The Server-IP changed to 98.166.175.89 (at least i think it changed? Because I had the joining-problem too some days ago but it worked for me again when i selected the server from the server list again and logged in)

Sounds like playing with fire to me. DoSing or otherwise screwing with Minetest servers could raise the ire of more than just one server's administrators. For example, forum moderators might not take too kindly to people who admit to that kind of behavior....
