World config ... set enviroment your choice on weather and such... stuff like sky, clouds.
Gravity! Move slower or faster. Jump higher like the moon.
SPACE! +30,000 and it's still day and night. Have the sun but still stars after a certain altitude which gradual change and zero G.
Better error handling ... alternative world gen.

That would be pretty awesome.

Maybe add temperature zones, too. The deeper you get, the hotter it will be: more damage when falling, etc., and a little damage every N time units. Same for high heights.

Maybe in combination with protective clothing and a spacesuit for heights 30k+.

toggle player names on/off for screen shots and video capture. We need to do MORE promoting of Minetest as BETTER than minecraft alternative.

Add a setting:
use dynamic lighting by searching light sources in an area and calculating the path of the light the whole time and/or with specific delays instead of a constant lighting which gets changed when nodes are changed
So it's more easy to use right sunlight and adding reflections and shadows, ...

A new group:

blastable=0

Makes sure that tnt cannot blow up this block. You can still mine it with certain tools but it is not able to be blown up by tnt. Default is set to =1.

It would help protection mods work much better. Griefers would just blow up the protection or building.

However I think there should be like a 'it's mine!' feature where only you can mine/blast blocks you put down. When you look at someone else's block it says "owned by notanewbie" like doors do.

Hey Esteban, haven't tried our mod though I like to.
The core theme of this thread is what you want in next update of the core program.

other WISHES on my LIST...
... textures on rotated blocks and objects maintain the proper orientation.
... more character animations than just run/walk, stand and dig.
(Suggestions: Swin, Fly, Wave, Sit, laydown)
... make Stu's split-limb player model part of core and default
... hooks for LUA for new player animations and mods aka taller/shorter, wear armour
... make displaying what the player has on hand.... dual wield optional
----------------------------
... fences connecting on diagonals and on one level up or down.
(Aka stair railing)
... better code for roofing nodes to connect.
... slopes?! use liquid to smooth slopes on roofs and ground.
(START or peek of the roof or surface to END or trough of the roof/surface)
(using liquid subroutines for calulating slope of surface, once set it would be treated as solid surface.)
... roof again merging of two roofs with proper corners...
(ie two roofs meeting 90 degrees of each other.)

Thoughts?

It is for special blocks and ores. Some things like diamond blocks should not be able to be blown up. There are some ores which I am making for my game that are only going to be mined and not blown up.

The Mark Tawn Reloaded Server has a plugin for sitting down and ''sleep'' animations! Other players can see you lying down, or while sitting (/sit and /sleep)

how about a scriptable menu rendering. so you could change the moving clouds to whatever enyone wants. i know everybody loves those clouds but i think that they should be changable. also i think there should be support for music in the menu.

The menu is written in Lua and you can set the background to an image.
