Setup a Poll in a Reply?

I hate how on the forums the owner of the topic can make polls, but not regular users. I understand that you don't want user polls trolling all the pages, but what if users could have a poll in their signatures or something? Or maybe in their post just like a pic.

In your signature add link of your topic with poll.

By the way, your post text contains of 3 lines. Your signature contains of 13 lines. Is that normal?

I am against polluting signature.

The old punBB-based forum restricted sigs to 2 lines. phpBB doesn't seem to have that (or maybe not enabled?).

Anyway, back to topic, posting a separate topic and linking to it is the most reasonable option IMHO, if you're not the original topic's author.

@Sergey and kaeza, so THAT'S what that random pm from kaeza was about. Okay!

As you see, I've arleady gotton rid of the different servers, and just turned it into a link to my webpage about that. I need to add another webpage to combine some of that other stuff too.

To keep signature short, use BBcode for URL.

For example, if you want to mention about your server, write My server instead of My server: http://example.org

I don't see the point in making polls in normal posts or even signatures. Just start a new topic.

Everyone can start a new topic, not just “privileged” users, so you are mostly trying to find solutions for a problem which doesn't exist. :P
