Ohhh good question. Um let me look in my code. I have forgotten cause I do not play Minetest too much any more. I have to find the exact wording of the command.

Pretty much in when creative is selected on the main menu then you have to do "/gamemode 1" or "/gamemode c" to enable creative mode. I tried to make it very similar to minecraft.Your phone or window isn't wide enough to display the code box. If it's a phone, try rotating it to landscape mode.
