It means that I try to make sure the result is stable enough to be generally useful after every few commits or so. If it is, I make a new ZIP build of it at that point (github already does that too, but I also make a separate copy with the build date marked in a file) and I don't bother with "version" numbers.
Effectively a new release multiple times a week, with just a few commits between them, as opposed to every several weeks or so, with lots of commits in between, as is typical for most software.
