Well, that's all with mods. Minecraft doesn't need those to still be interesting. I was talking about the bare game. Like the original post mentioned, there's something you "just can't pin down" and I believe its the aesthetic, the immersion. I'm no expert, let me get that straight. But, ...

Sorry, I'm really new to all of this, but to connect, do I have to have all the mods you listed, installed? Or does modding work akin to plugins on MC servers? As in, the only thing actually being manipulated is the server side?

I think right now the immersion is pretty shallow. Right in (unmodded), you just get a sense that it's not finished, and so immediately there's a negative reaction to it. From the rendering fog that never really goes out of sight, to the helvetica, to the flat torches, it doesn't seem as.....interac...

I don't think you should use Minetesthub or -universe or -planet. Its like admitting that we're completely copying Minecraft, and although technically it is a clone, we it should focus more on the aspects that make it unique. Why not a name that makes people look see it more as the wonderfully modda...
