Is there anyway to unlock a locked chest from singleplayer mode in Minetest version 0.4.12-DEV?

Donation box at my house on Vanilla server
I am accepting item donations in my donation chest at cordinates: "-2748.0, 4.5, 298.3" Please do not seal things though.I need different building materials. You can also use the travelnet box to teleport to West Main st. go north and my house is on the left.

This bug is fixable for those who are Ubuntu users. If you have downloaded minetest 0.4.12 from the PPA repository on your Ubuntu machine, just reinstall the package by doing: sudo apt-get install minetest" in the terminal and this will fix the problem I have mentioned in this post.

getting a "nil value" error when loading a world file

I have a PPA package I've downloaded from code.launchpad.net that is the latest build for Ubuntu 14.01.1 LTS. I have downloaded a tarball of a pre-built PPA, but I can't find the executable binary file.
