By default light level reduces by 1 per node underwater, so 16 nodes down it will be at minimum brightness and the water post effect colour will overpower anything you can see. You could make water clearer by altering the 'post effect colour' in the node definition. The only way to make underwater ...

How to make underwater less dark?

I want to explore the ocean, but the sea floor is too dark without torch. I want to reduce the ocean darkness, how do I do it? Thanks.

Can we have realistic ocean topography?

I would like the ocean to be deeper and more realistic, deep ocean is known for its mystery. Are there map generator that could generate realistic ocean. I would prefer to it to look like this.

No luck, I download 3d torch mod from

but the village torch is still 2d. I use minetest 0.4.14-dev

I have two kind of torch in my inventory!!! 2d and 3d, I enable only village modpack and sofar torch.

Hi, I have another problem the torch generate by the village is flat even I have 3d torch install. When I placed my own torch it is 3d.

How do you modified the village? It says that the inhabitant doesn't allow me to modify it, also the villager doesn't walk around and can get damage. How to fix it? Thanks

Can player hold 3d object? (ex:holding gun)

I am modelling 3d guns for minetest. I want to know if player can actually hold it or not? Like other fps games.

If the player can, can recoil and flash be add? Thanks.

I test with it. With vbo enable I get 26-27 fps, disable 20-21 fps. Not so much.

Yes, it is the successor of opengl, but it is not release yet.
