Re: set spawn newplayer mod

It sounds like you have another mod that's providing a /spawn command. I don't know what MT does if more than one mod tries to register the same chat command, but I'd assume that one "wins" - the wrong one in this case. Disable all other mods that offer "/spawn" and try again.

Re: Remove saplings, water, and buckets?

If you just want to hide something from the creative inventory, you can add "not_in_creative_inventory=1" to its groups. For example, you might change: groups = {snappy = 3, flora = 1, attached_node = 1, grass = 1, flammable = 1}, To: groups = {snappy = 3, flora = 1, attached_node = 1, gra...

Re: Increasing number of chat messages seen at once

It would be nice (perhaps a feature request?) if F10 would actually open up a separate window, rather than a drop down console that completely obscures the screen. I think that would also allow a lot more flexibility in terms of gameplay, since the chat history could be relegated to the background,...

Re: Minetest Server requirements

Technically, the only system requirements for the server are as follows: [li] [*]A supported OS [*]Enough RAM+Swap to not run out [*]Enough storage for stuff to fit [*]A network connection to the client(s) [/li] Beyond that, there are no hardware "requirements", as all that more power will...

Re: Why the 32768 node limit?

IMO this excessive amount of nodes wouldn't be required if there was a possibility to swap node textures. Many mods have to register new nodes because of 3 differently colored pixels in a texture... I've tried suggesting this to the engine devs before, but even though this would make this only need...

Why the 32768 node limit?

First of all: Yes, I understand why 32766/32768 is a "special" or "round" number. I also understand why it's not 65536 (unknown nodes). Now, as far as my question... I'm currently working with some people on a mod that has a bunch of nodes. Several of the nodes it adds can also h...

Re: After logging-in : 0,0,0 with Grey Screen, stuck

Assuming your client is new enough to have the minimap, try turning it off (the enable_minimap setting, not just hiding it with F9). Also, if your client is old enough to have a "preload_item_visuals" setting, turn that off. This bug seems to happen when the client takes too long to load e...

Re: [Mod] Yet another show-people-rules thing [git][newplaye

This mod has now been updated to support colored text. This, of course, requires very up-to-date clients and servers (9 hours old or less at the time of this post), but it will fall back to non-colored text if necessary.

Re: The Ultimate Goal/Challenge in Minetest

I tend to play on mostly creative servers, so for me, the "end goal" is to have a city that's as "cool" and realistic as possible. There's always something that can be done to make it better, so there's always something to do. Similarly, there's always some kind of mod that hasn'...
