Copying 98,000+ files takes far too much time. I walked away and fed the cats. Copying that many files in or out of the virtual machine takes even longer. Far past time for me to put player money amounts into a single database file.

Computer and the VM have been restarted. Redis made no complaints. Last time that Redis saved the map to disk was at 3:04PM EST. So maybe nobody lost much.

Grrr. I forgot to do something critical before I can bring the server back up. Bringing the server up and having a player just created more work for me to insure that players' account was not hijacked. No time to do it now.

Ok. What I just did, I'm not telling you. so don't bother asking.
However, the server should allow you:
1 - Log in faster
2 - Not be laggy for players that are already logged in when a player logs in.

At work, I have a saying about my time estimates for how long it will take me to do something:
