Question:
This might be more server config related but how can you limit the attack range so both players have to be close to each other?

Issue:
With armor on an empty hand attack does more damage then a sword would. This is mostly noticeable with the steel armor.

I am really impressed by how far minetest has progressed since i last been here and had a server idea for an mmo survival type server.

with the 1tb bandwidth i think that would take a lot of the lag out, just ram usage and if one processor would really be able to host say 50+ players.

Protection mod question

Host the server with command line. I use ubuntu to, you just put the batch file in the bin folder and open that folder in the terminal and run it batch. then logon using your local IP address for that computer with the 30000 port and you should be able to get in from anywhere http://wiki.minetest.co...

I prefer the idea of 3d mobs but the performance is a major thing. Maybe we can take the simple mobs and optical illusion them into a 3d one? Then for animation we would only have to animate the picture if that would be possible im just throwing out random ideas lol.
