I have a few questions How do you craft the Thaumanomacon and what rock layer can vis shards be found? Right click on a bookshelf with a wand, if I'm not mistaken. And vis shards should be pretty much everywhere. These are both based on the assumption that those two features are the same as in Thau...

attached_node should check for wallmounted, and then only drop as an item when the connected surface is dug, not just the underlying one.
