We'll make sure to remove any references to Wazu from the top post and the server :)

Please do not advertise for our server. The screen shots at the top are now outdated (they are from an old map). We already have a thread for our current server at http://forum.minetest.net/viewtopic.php?id=5684. Also, we are no longer affiliated with the Wazu clan. (For anyone who is still confused...

Thanks for your responses. Yes it is definitely using the correct configuration. Which curl library are you using now? I'm using Ubuntu 12.0.4 (if you happen to be using the same and recall the package name). The output of dpkg --get-selections | grep curl is libcurl3 libcurl3:i386 libcurl3-gnutls p...

Not appearing in server list

Hello, I'm trying to get a 0.4.6 server to appear on the in client server list. I am running 64-bit Linux. PVP is enabled on the server, though participation in battle is not mandatory. Make sure a player is interested in fighting with you before you attack anyone.

Is line 39 of init.lua return player:get_player_name() == owner or sender :get_player_name() == minetest.setting_get("name") Supposed to be return player:get_player_name() == owner or player :get_player_name() == minetest.setting_get("name") ? Because I'm getting sender == nil errors otherwise.

Go to the world directory/players and look in the player files if you see something strange. I glanced at a few player files and they looked normal to me. There are several hundred player files on my server and probably exactly 1 of them is screwed up... I'm not really inclined to figure out which ...

Can you be more precise when its happening. If its realy a bug it should be fixed in upstream. I'd like to give specific conditions, but it was happening pretty randomly (once every couple days or so). It is a bug that should be fixed upstream. That particular statement shouldn't execute if item.it...

it turns out it was the nvidia driver, it's poopoo Yes. What Ubuntu calls the "proprietary drivers" are indeed the binary nvidia drivers, but they're usually a couple minor releases behind. You should use the most recent drivers available through nvidia. I'm not sure why running out of vram means t...

I'm using the proprietary drivers, which still sucks I don't think the nvidia binary drivers suck at all. I find them to be quite reliable. Not when trying to play games, they're quite unstable in linux, very stable in windows, and exuberant in bsd Perhaps it would be more accurate to say that the ...

It doesn't look like that traceback has anything to do with being unable to bind textures, that looks like a different bug (probably a block being freed twice somewhere?). But if you're getting texture binding errors, that doesn't necessarily mean that there is no free memory on your video card. It...

Bugfix for minetest.get_node_drops in builtin/item.lua

Forgot to post this sooner. I don't have the exact error message recorded, but I was getting periodic crashes due to a bug in minetest.get_node_drops (or a bug somewhere else that was passing bad data to minetest.get_node_drops that it was failing to handle appropriately). The culprit was line 113 i...

Corrupted player inventories

I had this happen once with 0.4.1. Since I've moved our server over to 0.4.3 (a week ago) this has happened twice. I start the server and it immediately sigaborts. The only work around is to delete the player inventories (which tends to piss off players). Haven't taken the time to properly debug and...

You might enjoy our server at wazuclan.com:30000. Its been in development for a few months. Many big structures, a huge city around the spawn, and a large network of roads. We usually have 5 - 10 players on, pretty much never empty.
