Re: Nightlies: Minetest Start-Interface unusable

Problem is solved: It was the freetype thingy, but the other way round. The line was entirely missing in my minetest.conf. After I included it with freetype = false (as suggested), the situation improved a tiny bit, but not to satisfaction. So, out of curiosity I set it to freetype = true , and ever...

Nightlies: Minetest Start-Interface unusable

Hi, I use Minetest nightlies on Ubuntu 14.04, with Unity. Since a couple days, the startscreen, where Parameters are set, Servers are chosen, etc is unusable, hence it uses a fontsize which is extremely small. The dimensions of the screen are not changed. After logging in (by chance) everything inga...

Re: [Mod] Pedology [1.3] [pedology]

Could you make Snowballs "throwable"? Should be awesome on multiplayer servers :-)))

Great work otherwise!

Map not working?

Hi

could it be possible that the map doesn't update since a week or so? Can't see any newer structures on the map any more.

Linxx, I quite like your idea!

Not for the basic recipes though, but this could be a nice option for more specialised mods. How about cooking recipes, tools recipes, or blocks with special patterns or colours.

Almost solved :-D

After moving my mods as described by sfan5 (thank you!) I also had to change the file

.minetest/worlds/[MyWorld]/world.mt

and set all load_mod_[modName] entries from false to true.

Now it works again!

Thanks for helping,
Sfan5

Ok, now I see how it works. But the initial explanation was wrong or incomplete in two points. 1. You need to create a basin around your intended fountain: X X X X X X O X X: Sand, Gravel, Rock, Wood, etc X O O X O: Empty X X X X Otherwise, placing the two bucketloads of water would cause a flooding...

no, latest from deb packages.
"Shift" works, but only sometimes. I have a 5 block-long ladder down a shaft, and another one up a wall. Both do not work with Shift, nor with "E"

[Solved] 0.4.2 RC1 Problem: 'E' (descending ladders) does not work

I created a new world and now cannot descend ladders anymore. Any idea anybody? OS = Linux. Minetest used to work perfectly well for months.

Yes, for Ubuntu you can add the repositories to your download manager and install minetest (not the mods!) through Utubuntu One and keep it up-to-date through the automatic update routine. Regarding the mods, the procedure has been described here (see earlier posts). But (lookin at your own post) wh...

Your recipe conflicts with tonyka's 3D-furniture mod, where it is used to create a table.

No need to compile for Ubuntu! Just add the minetest repository to your package manager and you will receive the newest builds automatically. For the moment being this will be 0.4.1. See https://code.launchpad.net/~minetestdevs/+archive/stable/+packages for details of how to add the repository. Chee...

Hi all, it is all fine, my mistake! It was indeed the colour which is changed by misa's textures. There clay appears red and stone appears grey, just as clay would appear in original colours. Not knowing this I just did dig the wrong stuff, and I failed to check the cobblestone stack for increase. T...

Calinou, I have just tried it on yesterdays nightly, where I also have a sandbeach in reach. Result: I found the same grey stuff underwater and realised it adds to my gravel stack :-/ Then I saw some red blocks underwater, which I considered to be desert sand or -stone. Out of pure curiosity I mined...

Well, it is underwater, it is grey and it is not red. And especcially: If it were something else, it should show up in my inventopry after all, like all other mineable blocks. The thing is that it does not show up as anything at all. Will also test this behaviour on a different machine now, before I...

[Solved] Clay does not stack in inventory?

Hi folks, when I dive in front of my Beach and mine some clay (or at least what I believe is clay) the blocks are mined (eG sand slopes down filling the gap), but nothing stored in my inventory. Am I doing wrong? Or is it a bug? Using: Version 0.4.1 (last night's update), moreblocks, moreores, doors...

Ok, found out myself by comparing the creation date and time of the build on my machine with the one in the repository. The version offered in the top left of the startup scren does not reflect the build. It would be really helpfull if this could be changed, and the build added. I see many confusion...
