Best format for me is a lua schematic. It's the most flexible format. And as far as I know we files don't support something, but I don't remember what it was :-) I like the .mts file format a lot more than .we as well. Bookshelves are now filled with (empty) books.

The function mg_villages.fill_one_chest_random is used for filling chests, shelves, bookshelves etc. with content and can be exchanged/overwritten by other mods if there is any need.

Thanks for the translation, ShadMOrdre. Seems I met the Sunos but not the Sovagxas so far. It seems possible that further structures will be offered once the village gets more inhabitants. The trading with the market chests works fine. The textures are very nicely done.
