Hmm, there is also a third player camera offset in the lua api. You can use set_eye_offset to do that (https://github.com/minetest/minetest/blob/master/doc/lua_api.txt#L1908) Here is something I did while playing around with it: http://i.imgur.com/gmQEPd2.png Over the shoulder minetest gameplay.

By the way if I remember correctly your fill ratio is going to spawn a lot of houses. I would suggest something like 0.05.

There is probably a very simple answer to this, but how would one create a flat area of certain dimensions. For example: Say you have a hill, but you want something to generate there via a mod. However when you generate your structure there are nodes from the hill inside. Therefore a flat area needs...

TenPlus1 I wanted to congratulate you on what you've done with the ethereal mod. When I created it I had few visions for it, and planned to keep it small. You have taken it, and turned it into something more. I know I'm not often on, and I wanted to thank you for taking this mod where I never could....

TenPlus1 the only things I can complain about there are Crystal Ingots, which should be some form of crystal, and Glostone. To be honest I never liked glowstone so. Other than that I like it.

Update!
Hearty Stew has been removed as have frost saplings.
Grass Blocks now turn to their biomes color preserving each biomes beauty. Thanks to Sokomine for the color change.

Update!
The mushroom biome is now completed.
Mushrooms grow and from them you can craft mushroom stew.
You cook the stew for a larger health benefit.
Strawberries now spawn in the grassy biome.
