No, AiTechEye, this doesn't work. :-(
As soon as I make use of on_use, I can't swing the sword continously anymore (by holding the left mouse button). But I want still be able to swing the sword continously, a capability which all other tools have by default. I don't want to lose this. :-/

How can I use the decorations API to spawn simple decorations underground?
For example, placing mushrooms on top of stone in caves.
Or do I have to use LuaVoxelManip (or similar)?

With my experiments so far, I only managed to make mushrooms appear at Y chunk borders.
