Yes. You can do animations on Google Sketch up. I use it for proto-typing, you can have sliding, rotating, and joints though.

Wow, this is a project. I do believe that it can be done with defining different buildings to be generated randomly. I cannot yet conceive any way to randomly generate the interiors.

3D modling software

As the title suggest. What software is best for 3D molding in minetest. I have used a few most too advanced to use with minetest as it takes too long. Google sketchup seems to be a good contender as it is the most balanced between User friendly and powerful.
