Yes, I've tried it with and without. It does not seem to work either way. I am able to connect to my sister's computer with 0.4.7 when she is using 0.4.4 but, when we are both using 0.4.7, I am unable to connect to her (and vice-versa).

Do you mean like "192.168.0.4" instead of "192.168.0.3"? I tried all of those (it wasn't always "192.168.0.3", but I put it down as this because it was most of the time). I would run the game locally using advanced mode (public on). My sister would type "192.168.0.3" into the address box and "Start Game / Connect" and she would connect to my server. This doesn't work on the new Minetest and we are only able to play on the same server if it is somebody else's.
