Re: Minetest 0.4.14?

Presents aren't just assosiated with Christmas, it's also common for Birthdays, Valentines, Mother/Father's Day and many other holidays. Presents are universal.

Re: Redesigning the player's animations.

Not sure, his idle animation gives off a tiresome expression. He looks like he ran a marathan and is catching his breath. The cure to this is to slow the animation drastically.

Re: Mob Showcasing

You abandoned this thread after a couple of posts. You didn't deign to comment on other people's creations or encourage people in any way. I've been trying to keep this thread alive by showing people how even terribly drawn ideas can look cool in the game, but I guess the non-programming contigent ...

Re: Music in Minetest...

I was never a fan of ambient music in video game (unless the scene called for it), especially Minecraft. When I played minecraft, the music would drive me to boredom. I would have to lower the music down and play something over it that was more adventurous but not too dramatic or uppity.

Re: Mob Showcasing

Uh, guys, not to be a party pooper but I made this thread so multiple people can showcase their creative mob concepts. It was not made to talk about development. As I stated in the OP, dev discussion should be PM or begin a new thread about it. The reason I bring this up is because someone emailed m...

Re: Mob Showcasing

If you're slapping a non-free license on it such as CC BY-NC-SA, don't expect anyone to seriously use it. If you're using a license which disallows derivatives, mods which implement these mobs cannot be published on this forum, per the mods forum guidelines. That's fine by me. The purpose of this t...

Mob Showcasing

Hello, this thread is for everyone to post ideas or concept art of mobs. The guides are simple... I hope. • Post your original art of your ideal mob. (recommend you license it, but don't let peer pressure determine what license to select. You drew it, you choose. • Have a description about your mob....

I may have another attempt if this is so lame. I think the key will be to plan out shots first and ditch moviemaker. Could someone help me plan and also suggest some software? There's always lightworks. I use it and it's excellent. Also I wouldn't write "as you go". I suggest storyboarding. Quickly...

Sorry to say there's going to be a small hiccup for a while since Ubuntu One is shutting down service. If anyone has any suggestions...

I feel this is a good choice. I believe some will have a hard time adjusting to due to the design, but once you guys can duplicate the look from his forum to the next, I think the transition will be much easier.

Also, if possible, allow the use the option to set the user info on either left or right.

Can someone make a checkpoint mod? nice. as an idea, why not have a beach version of it too? A beach version wouldn't make sense because the sand near water is different than sand from the desert. which is why you make it use the sand texture. It's basically cloning the code already there, and switching it form desert sand to sand. ...

I made some minor tweaks with this mod. The Lunavesta can freeze nearby water (source/flowing) and did some adjustent to the generation for the ores.

One thing I do plan to do is add to the mod than just glowstones. Time will tell. And it won't be tools, that nonsense is getting too repetitive.

But if Minetest doesnt use a single line of code from Minecraft, how can they claim "copyright" ? It wouldn't matter if it was written in any different language at all. They could file on the grounds that Minetest has similar concepts as Minecraft (i.e its gameplay). Minetest doesn't look like Infi...

This ones a mix bag for me. I probably shouldn't state otherwise until I can analyze what this would do if Minetest was up on steam.
