I looked at your example, and now im wondering if your torch could be ceiling mounted, or placed on the floor.
and how would you get minetest to use a light and particle emitting material on only part of the torch without using a second set of mesh faces for the buring end ?

Just my opinion, but fences that have gates that join to them and open like actual gates ( or doors )
should be part of the default game, and I cant imagine why they're not already included.
I've been wanting proper fence gates for ages.

could you please post some more screenshots of the food items from a different angle?
I dont use simple mobs, I use mobf, so this isnt useful for me yet...but it might be if/when mobf support is added.
I'm always on the lookout for another good food mod. :)

I tried simplscreenrecorder but I had some serious problems with it on my 64-bit system.
I'm looking for solutions now, but in the meantime I'm sticking with kazam.

p.s. I only tried it because of the recommendation here.

I just downloaded 2 versions of the HDX texture pack, and I'll let you know what my computer/game performance is like with them Installed. I downloaded the x64, and just in case that was too big for my poor little machine, I got the x32 as well.
