No, using Irrlicht 1.8 didn't fix it either. I've built minetest before but it's been a while on an older ubuntu. I know my irrlicht 1.8 is good also so it's something else causing the problem. I'm going to let it go. Thanks!

Good idea! Too bad taking it out didn't help me any. The problem is in Irrlicht, it appears. It seems like I've had this before now that I'm looking at it. Maybe I need to try and use the 1.8 irrlicht that I've built from source. That ought to be interesting... Here's gdb: Starting program: /media/s...
