I should have set this up years ago. But it's no tale of woe.
Whether the temperature is high or low, regardless of cold winds blow,
away we go like Edgar Allan Poe, on now with the show. BTW rhymes are welcome.
There seems to be a issue, no matter what i can't get the shops to tune. I know I am doing it right because i have been using kotolegokot and Xiong's version for well over a year.
My servers already have all of this ( the Minerealms servers ). A modified version of the Server Extended mod is what we use and would be something to look at if you plan on perfecting this. :) looks promising on its own tho
Paramat: I have no idea how to compile on Windows ( I do on Linux tho ) but this desktop lacks Linux so I am unable to test v5, is there another solution to this?
Ok, so it seems to be a way to change size and type for everyone do it by hand. Then I think a simple solution would be to maybe add a setting for it???? So everyone can set it to there own personal touch to it and maybe also let them choose the color of there chat and other peoples chat on there si...
ok, I see now. Very usefull, on the Add name of node pointed at to debug, I would like to point out that all that debug at times can be impossible to see very well because it is so small same goes for chat. If that stuff was just a tad bigger I think it would make a big difference but then we run in...
About polish: The user interface of Minetest annoys me, particularly the main menu. The text on the main menu glitches. Also, it doesn't look very nice. Bugs are also bad in terms of polish. I have been doing pull requests recently based around fixing the user interface and user friendliness of Min...
Can't say the same 'bout 1500-2000s IGAs. 35-40 fps. Strangely, ogles1 renderer improved that to nearly 55. But It have problems with shaders, minetest.inventory_cube() and semi-transparent sprites in the inventory. Also it makes screen shots in inverted colours while saves the lighting, e.g. red i...
Do you realize that you're the only one complaining here? Isn't that the very fact supposed to help you realize it is your problem? It doesn't matter whether you think it's not your problem whereas it is. So far there's no even a single proof it's not your problem. I've already told you @ mesecons ...
v6 isn't ugly so to say, but more plain you can go server to server that runs v6 and see not much difference in the two. that is why I love the idea of v5 being readded.
Vazon head desks! Since the very first post you guys are insisting that there is something wrong with MY computer I directly said that I'm not talking about my problems, they are my problems and I can deal with its :| but I am trying to address a basic speed problem with Minetest in general. So Vazo...
Ok I have posted this in the mesecons topic, but I have decided to make it's own topic. At the moment with all that Minetest is, I think adding any form of a big of change to the game would not be one of the greatest changes we have made to the game. Furthermore, the game its self just needs to stop...

There isn't a problem, I can run other games just fine like red eclipse. This what I'm trying to address, people should not have to change anything just to play a game.
rubenwardy: The point is that we are still using a rendering engine, I'm sure there is a better solution to this. Plus if Minetest is a game engine, it doesn't seem to run all that well on most computers with out people having to add stuff or change what they have.
Evergreen: it shouldn't matter, Minetest should be able to run on just about any newer computer with out having to make modifications or any extra cost. If people cant play with what they have, they are more likely just to say heck with this game and move on. Am I not correct?? Would you continue to...
I have a new $800 computer ( new as of January 15, 2015 ) and I have problems running Minetest even on vanilla. Minetest needs to be play able with out people having to go out and buy a $2000-$4000 computer, its just outrageous ( Heck, I can play MineCraft better than I can play Minetest on this co...
At the moment with all that Minetest is, I think adding any form of Mesecons OR any other big of change to the game would not be one of the greatest changes we have made to the game. Furthermore, the game its self just needs to stop having new features added it and fix what is already currently in t...
No, that name is taken. There is already a game called Minetest.
Wait, what???? Since when??? ..... Garsh dang it, that was my number one name for the rename? xD But on another note, I think VoxelMiner is probably the best name stated so by far.
Why not have it where in the settings to make it where the player can determine all of this. Examples: Max Servers Visible on List = 1-25, and for the menu let the player pick the style they like best??? I think give the players the freedom to choose what their game looks like would be quite interes...
on this note if you guys are looking for something like this, one of my admins has been developing a mod for this "rules" problem in general. the mod is currently being used on both "Minerealms" and "Minerealms-chat" if you guys would like to see it.
This is a start of a list of bugs or inconsistencies I've observed in playing in Minerealms. I've initially skipped all the mesecons and technic stuff as it is arcane and some of the lack of craft recipes is by design. This was just a quick run through of the unified_inventory and recipes. I'm sure...
The problem is both "stairs" and any other random combination of nodeboxes are treated the same. For some nodes, rotating textures with the node makes sense, while for others it creates the ugly effect you're describing. For example, take the laptop in my computer mod; the textures are no...
Sokomine: With most nodes that can make stairs/slabs, the textures are the same all the way around in Vanilla with a few excepts so this shouldn't be a problem. Plus as long as the nodes themselves do not rotate the stairs/slabs should always match the parent.
So I have been messing around with a few things like stairs and slabs. I have come across a issue I think would make stairs/slabs look much nicer in game if fixed. It seems on stairs that use on_place = minetest.rotate_node and parameter = "facedir" it rotates the NodeBox and the textures ...
I added the pillar blocks ( pulled from the castle mod and are identical to this mod I believe) about a week ago to my circular saw on my server so you can make the pillars with most all blocks.
On another note, those are some great nodeboxes. great work :)
I love this server! Keep it up! I hope it grows into an even bigger and more refined community. :) bitsflashing: nothing is happening server you play on that server is hosted by me personally and this talk of merging the servers is never going to happen, the person who is running the other map is n...
