Trying like heck NOT to be lazy and just try to find someones finished product. My intent is to ultimately have a "game" dedicated machine. With minetest as close to m/c as I'm able to build.

... I've tried different linux distros and so far have been using one entitled sparky linux game over. It's pretty much a debain distro and has been working well enough for me. (Any other suggested versions are welcome) I use Xubuntu, myself. It's extremely well-supported and pretty much just works...
