Re: Making an attractive Android game

I agree that homedecor mustn't be added entierely.
For the vanilla experience, i agree in general but mobile experience is not same as desktop experience. Mobile users are generally another population and a meta-packaging could be better for them to discover minetest.

Making an attractive Android game

Hello, as you know, we are now on Android, with official binaries provided for Google Play Store and later on F-Droid. For majority of our online players, modding is done server-side, and many of you are modding your client-side version of minetest_game to improve your gameplay experience. Somes als...

Re: Official Android build on Google Play

Warning, play store signature is wrong and the package name was also wrong. Everything is fixed in 0.4.12.7 but please fix the link, the application will be available here when Google will validate it:

Re: C++11

We must keep the compat with old compilers like Debian Squeeze, but if we need to do a break, maybe 0.5 or 0.6 can do this. 0.5 do the network rework, maybe we can think about C++11 ? std::mutex, std::regex, that's two functions i need to use to replace our current working but obsolete implementatio...

Re: [HEADS-UP] Minetest incompatibility changes in the futur

Network layer, protocol will evolve and we couldn't maintain old versions because we need to rework on some engine functions. Colored chat can cause problems too

If you are local only you are not affected by this change

[HEADS-UP] Minetest incompatibility changes in the future

Hello to our users, 0.4.12 is now out and we are working on a 0.5.0 minetest, which mean some breaks will happen into the minetest core. The first objective of this 0.5.0 is to solve network protocol issues and rework the network layer of minetest to improve its performance and its flexiblity. This ...

Re: PR 2227

Because many users are not on IRC or github, i would talk with users about this graphical change before merge. It seems good for me, but maybe community can talk with us because it's user experience, not only devel.

Re: [Mod] Simple Money [economy]

It works very well but we need to improve performance a little to reduce CPU usage on server. actually HUD is updated in world loop process, but we need to change it per event.

If i get time i'll look at this today

Re: RFC: Changes in organization

For PR cleanup, you can look at here: https://github.com/minetest/minetest/pu ... +is%3Aopen

Maybe some old issues can be kept because they are pertinent but many old PR are unmergeable or useless.

Thanks for the post celeron55.
