newest dev version but I repaired that error.

minetest uses dirt blocks for everything and both side grass and grass textures work as stickers placed on top and sides of dirt block. I had to edit side grass to only include the grass and not dirt as it was originally.

Gimp, Paint.Net, Photoshop all this are used to create textures from scratch. All you need to do is find or decide on the cartoon style, texture size(16, 32, 64, 128, etc), and finally start working. as I have been playing and walking around I keep coming across things like in this picture.

How do you measure the blocks? by pixel?
how big is the player character? 2 blocks high? is the character even a model?
in what file type do we save or work in?

I wouldnt really like for minetest to divert manpower for a gimmicky new realm when it could be added to standard world.
want a lava underworld? have the game world generate that in something exaggerated like -5000 from surface.

The world map remains full blocks. The player is the one that crafts half blocks and quarter blocks from the natural full blocks.

This saves the game from needing to include this new block types into the world generation equation.
