Quicksand. We need it to make the desert a bit more adventurous/dangerous. You should be able to drown in it too. In some cases, the player could even sink through quicksand into a hidden cavern. From what I've can tell, there is no quicksand mod through out the entire forum; unless I've missed it.

I agree. I just don't like the name hell since hell really means burial ground.

There was a post like this in 2012. Well maybe the subject needed to be brought up again, without necroposting. Obviously, the idea wasn't implemented back then, and some of us, like I, would like to see it implemented in a mod or setting. Would you rather us exhume that rotting post from back in 2...

Btw, why do we call it Nether? Why not just hell? :D Cause "Nether" is more or less a borrowed name from Minecraft and concept name, so it can be used more universally. "Hell" on the other-hand may not fit for some parents who still believe its still a swear word to kids. Personally, I think Minete...

What's a good way to generate cocoa in jungle trees? I've thought of generating them using the ore structure I'm not to sure that's the best option to choose. I need the cocoa to generate even if the tree was grown through sapling.

Also, what would be the best method for generating pumpkins at well?

See http://wiki.minetest.net/Grass The probability to get wheat seed from grass is 20%. The probability to get grass from grass is 80%. The probability to get nothing is 0%, Gambit. I gathered the data from the source code of the farming mod. The replanting trick works well because the probability ...

I've never read anything about people not receiving enough seeds. Either way I set it up so there are a whole lot of grass everywhere and digging at grass would give me a 10% chance of getting a seed, the rest of the 90% I get nothing.

Nether without Portals

This is something came to me the other week and held back knowing there a mod that supports this but after looking this more closely I've decided to talk about it. The "Nether" (or whatever anyone wants to call it) is more so the idea of hell being in the center of the earth. The further you did dow...

This is the Samhain Mod http://ubuntuone.com/7WbmyMgf2Jbq2MHMtpkSH1 This mod is designed much like Glowstone from Minecraft only there are two kinds of stones. The first is Sol and the other is Luna. Sol is reference to the sun while Luna is obviously reference to the moon. These two sets are of co...

Spawning in Water

Playing Vanilla Minetest, does it bug you when you start a fresh new world and the first place you plop right down into is water?
