mmm sounds nice, but what about windows compatibility? minetest has built in support of CURL library, AFAIK it has support of downloading files under windows. Not sure if it's been mentioned but.. mirrors.

Why? If one has an in game skin switcher mod or similar installed, it would be easier to look in a mirror to verify the skin is as they want. Only other method of this I'm aware of is to log in a second client or have a friend help.

Guys, i think that you are using it in the wrong way. When you right click on the cannon's area (defined by the transparent block around the cannon) you have to look at the target, not at the cannon. Technically any server is generally good to play on. Just find one with the mods you want to play with and try it out. As for "Easy to join" I wish minetest devs would implement some built in way for server owners to specify a compressed cache that new users will download upon connect and decompress...
