Re: Trepca server

Currently, hosting is uncertain, therefore the server might have to go offline. If that's the case, I'll offer a download of the latest world in this thread.

Re: [RUS] Clip Public Server

It has been some time since clip announced to publish the map. It would be really great if we could get a link to the map, I have built many buildings there which I'd like to have.

Also, there were some big 100x100x100 caves. Can you share how you made them clip?

Re: Making an attractive Android game

On my phone, the online mod db is broken (screen to small). The average player won't use their android file manager in order to download and install a mod. I agree, many mods aren't good (There still isn't any good mobs mod (not solely their fault, there are missing engine features too)), or have ot...

Re: [WIP][MOD] Crops

I like how this mod solves the seed problem. With minetest_game's seed model, you get far too much seeds as output, and TenPlus1's farming mod's principle "everything is a seed" isn't good either.

Re: [Mod] Names per IP [names_per_ip]

Calinou, can you publish the mod on notabug or another git website (I know notabug is your favourite)? I don't like to touch zip blobs, git is better for updating and other tasks.

Re: [0.4.12] Official Android build on Google Play and F-Dro

arifsaha, when you upload apk files to android, they are already built, either for ARM or for x86. As nrz is uploading those files, he knows best. Now either google has a way to compile bytecode from ARM to x86, or your device can somehow emulate ARM.

Re: Minetestmapper rewritten into C++

When I checked again, I couldn't reproduce it anymore. So it seems to be my mistake.

Re: Minetestmapper rewritten into C++

The official version of "--disable-blocklist-prefetch" doesn't have any speed improvements, only the one at WIP-mt. Does it really disable the prefetch?

Re: [0.4.12] Official Android build on Google Play

Now it's also available on the f-droid app store. There were some issues with ndk versions and f-droid's build machine being 32 bit and the android Makefile only supporting 64 bit, so it took some more time than the play store, but all are resolved now. enjoy!

Re: Minetest 0.4.12

The PPA contains 0.4.12 builds now for 15.04(vivid), 14.10(utopic), and 14.04(trusty). As already with 0.4.11, the 12.04(precise) build doesn't work (EDIT: disabled leveldb for precise, and now 0.4.12 is also available for precise). However, default support for utopic and vivid is new, so that you d...

Re: Making an attractive Android game

How much should the crafting guide be gamified? Should it be something like a sign thats placed somewhere, or accessible from the inventory? And about the mobs mod, do you have a suggestion? (EDIT: I'll probably give mobs a look if nobody has yet). Also, it should perhaps be configurable (from the G...

Re: Minetestmapper rewritten into C++

OK, far more faster for areas where there is no "miss": http://pastebin.com/cnSpNCGG However, when I run it on an area where everything is a "miss", I get an execution time of 57 seconds. So unfortunately that option doesn't help much. What about the second? A file that stores al...

Re: Minetestmapper rewritten into C++

See this pastebin script for my output: http://pastebin.com/0bauwi8y . So it needs around 36 seconds between startup and printing "Map Output Geometry", and 3 seconds until it has generated an image.
Yes, VanessaE's map is leveldb.

Re: Minetestmapper rewritten into C++

Hi Argos, I like your mapper! I have developed a small sloppy mapper script that calls your program to generate tiles. The main design idea behind this script was to not have one minetestmapper instance making a huge map and then cutting it into pieces ("top down") but to make minetestmapp...

[Mod] Kick all users on server shutdown [kickall]

Installing this mod makes the server kick all players when it shuts down. This prevents users from continuing to build inside their local copy of the game. The mod adds three commands: /kickall <reason> kicks all players without the nokickall /reallykickall <reason> kicks all players regardless of t...

cHyper: you can inspect the example I've linked to, everything you need is in there, the file should be self-explaining. The error message is output to the console, and to debug.txt. Its WIP, GUI errors will be added later on.
