Re: Post your modding questions here

BrunoMine, you can only get active objects. Maybe you need to forceload some chunks.

l think to keep toolwear, metadata, whatsoever, you could simply use stack:to_string() and save the result to meta.

Andrey01, that was a bug in the scifi_nodes mod. Fixerol, sorry, l didn't remember correctly. Once l fixed an on_generated, maybe in the snow mod, which did not use the vmanip mapgen object but made its own one instead; it caused odd mapgen artifacts l think. https://github.com/HybridDog/technic/com...

How about this:
Your phone or window isn't wide enough to display the code box. If it's a phone, try rotating it to landscape mode.
Code: Select all
minetest.after(2, function()
technic.recipes.compressing.recipes["default:desert_sand"] = nil
end)

The index is "default:desert_sand", not "default:sand 2".
technic.recipes.compressing.recipes["default:desert_sand"] = nil
Don't trust the craft guide, it's not up to date after removing the recipe.

rubenwardy, if you have a maidroid egg, you can spawn a maidroid mob, right click it and insert the core. Then it does something depending on the core. Currently there are farming core (l haven't tested it), basic core (l think it makes the droid follow you) and OCR core (not in master branch yet, s...

Fixerol, if l remember correctly, l fixed the OOM crashes in my fork. You could use sticky block.
By the way, mods can make nodes fall like sand even if they're not in group falling. Imagine a bomb which makes all nodes in radius beginning from bottom fall down, so only a heap is left.
