I find it difficult to work out how much of my map has already been generated so I can specify coordinates for mods such as Mount Muru. How do you generate map?

I'm running a windows (yes, but I can't use linux on that old box, crap graphics card) server, soon to be public private server. I have read that there is a script for generating the map, how can I get this script and use it on windows?
