Re: [Game] Fractured [0.01] [WIP]

Maybe you should make the markers one node high, so they won't look like they protect more area than they really do. Also, it would be cool if you could see the boundaries of the protected area, like if you click a button in the menu, it will spawn entities that show the edges of the area, so you ca...

Re: Futuristic mods?

I'm still waiting for a feature to build moving structures in the sky to do some battles over there :) Replicators are quite useless here because it's easy to put a stack of bananas in your inventory and there's mostly too much food in the world. (at least when farming_plus is activated) Also repli...

Re: Futuristic mods?

Also technic has some futureistic stuff, like a force field generetor, though it's a pretty large mod and has a lot of dependencies, so you might want to remove some features or at least remove some of the dependancies

[MOD] better mesecons [mesecons_3d]

Most default mesecons can conduct to the blocks next to them (at the same height) and the ones above and below this. http://i57.tinypic.com/15qyovn.png This is really inconvenient, and can lead to situations where 2 wires look like they connect, but actually don't. http://i61.tinypic.com/2hs6rzb.png...

Re: [Modpack] Home Decor [git] [homedecor_modpack]

You can use pistons to separate the refrigerator halfs, and then the top is unbreakable. there are 3 solutions:
worst: make refrigerators not pushable by pistons
ok: make the top half have a selection box
best: make it act like the travelnet boxes

Re: [Mod] mypaths [mypaths]

The one thing that I learned about pixel art for small, but realistic, is that nothing in the natural world is smooth and not noisy. I like more noise, because it seems more like rugged, beaten up terrain. It looks too rough though. Paths are usually pretty smooth (but not flat) because people walk...

if the glass is 2 spaces above: The inside of the glass is light level 15 The node below it has a light level of 14 The wheat is light level 13. Re: VanessaE's Creative Server [git]

They can get laggy, yes, but mostly because motors and frames can be used to move things like node breakers, such that they can cut wide, practically unlimited paths through the landscape without any recourse. Last time I had them enabled on this server, someone used them to cut a 5x5 or so trench ...

Re: [Mod] mysponge [mysponge]

It would also be cool if you could pump water out of the sponge, so then you could have an underwater city that uses sponge to keep out the water (however this is kind of advanced, so It might be hard to do)

Re: Best Mods for Minetest Game for a Public Server

Mesecons. You can remove some features but please leave in microcontrollers.
If you're worried about creating too much lag, then I would suggest not using homedecor, or only using some of the features. It is a really big mod.

Sounds like an admin pick which I certainly would not trust players with... :P It wasn't from map tools, it was just a mod that I made, mostly because we were trying to dig to the center of the earth and needed to go faster. Re: [Mod] mysponge [mysponge]

Looks like it has some additional features (growing in size, cooking for getting water back). That might be pretty nice. Does it also pick up other liquids? Re: [Mod] mysponge [mysponge]

This looks pretty cool. You might want to make the textures a little more detailed, and instead of using a bunch of different textures for the different amounts of water stored in it, I think you could just use [colorize to darken the texture slightly (i'm not exactly sure how)

Re: VanessaE's Creative Server [git]

Why are technic frames disabled? I know they can be used to grief stuff, but so can pistons and movestones, not to mention lava, water, and especially corium.

Is it because of lag?

It would be awesome if you could connect these to digilines/luacontrollers, and use them to adjust the prices. This might cause some problems with people "hacking" other people's shops with luacontrollers, but this could probably be fixed by only letting the owner place digilines and luaco...

Re: [Mod] Mesecons (= redstone) [GitHub] [minetest-mod-mesec

you shouldn't have to use mese blocks to transmit power upwards. There seem to be vertical mesecon lines. It's still not easy.
