what am doing wrong i cant join any online game, either the textures dont load or it crashes or the password is wrong ?

It could be everything, from a lousy internet connection till a crashed server and anything between it.

Things that might help:
- check the server specifications here: http://minetest.net/servers
-- those are not all the available servers, but enough to start trying.
- look at the specifications which minetest version you need for that server
- alway fill in a name (better don't use 'guest') and password
- look at the specifications which port number you need to fill in
- look at the adress you need to use in specifications (If there's a number and a name first try the number)

- sometimes servers aren't 24/7 but are only up part of the day
- sometimes servers are down (crash, maintenance, installing a newer version, roblems with a internet connection)

- (important) have patience, the first time you connect it can take quiet some time to complete the connection. I think this happens also everytime you connect with a new minetest build.

Some other causes:
- your internet connection could have problems
- your computer can have too low specs for minetest
- the distance between your computer and the desired server is very big

I probably missed a few.
