How to create a LAN Server?

Hello everyone, Rhys here. I was wondering how to create a LAN Server, because a few of my real life friends come to my house, wanting to go on a Minetest server with me. So, if ANY information on how to do this, would be great. Thanks in advance! :)

1, you can use the Server tab to start the server and type "ifconfig" into the terminal (or "ipconfig" in the console).

If the server should be dedicated, better look at one of the server creation guides.

That is where you type in ipconfig and then enter. Just verified on my heavily restricted win7 work computer.

All you need to know is your IP adress and your players IP addresses

Your players will use your IP as the server address (and use the default port 30000)

my router is pretty restricted on what I can actually change in the settings.
However it was really just a matter of granting permission via my firewall when the players try to connect

I later duplicated the firewall rules maually on my son's computer
and its almost the same process as setting up a torrent program
only differance being you use specific ports and IP addresses.
