VoidPixel Server - Replacement for Landrush Players {0.4.13}

This is my entry for the 2015 Christmas build contest. It is supposed to be an amusement park, with games that actually work, and Christmas style builds. It is still a WIP, I will add more things as the future allows. I am using some older images, due to server problems right now, so It may look different later.

VoidPixel has been unplayable for me for the last week. My client connects, but nothing loads except item/node defs. The map does not load, my player position is not sent (stays at 0,0,0), the inventory is not sent, etc. Also the server does not respond to commands. The only message the client receives after the initial connection sequence is TOCLIENT_TIME_OF_DAY.

Yes Jay, it looks lile server experiences many problems. Even when I can log in an play, it's only for a while. Too bad, this server is great.

I was able to play one or two hours. But now, the server crashed almost at every login (few seconds after connection). If this helps...

Idk if this will help, but I noticed that near your quarry, there seems to be an error that resets the server. I have encountered this before elsewhere, and it seems to be caused by the Technic mod. I can't say for sure that this is the problem, as I have never studied this phenomena very much due to the fact as you can only observe if for a few seconds till reset. This type of error however, does not affect server function as a whole as long as you stay away from the affected area.
(Note: I am not knowledgeable in server maintenance, everything I have said is just my observations. No fact)

But there is still a random factor. The hours I was able to play I was in this area also.

I suspect something with Pipeworks rather than technics. I had two hours without crash, and many technic machines and pipes working. I just had a crash when removing a pipe with something in.

Ok, there is a fixed issue on pipeworks that looks pretty like what I experienced.

There is just a small change in item_transport.lua (see here for details).

Clouds, can you have a quick look on item_transport.lua, line #252 to see if the second argument is "" ? If it is, you have the bug !!

The server has been splotchy the last week in terms of uptime, you will play for 30 minutes then it shutdown for a hour or so. Now, however, the server is completely down, and whenever you manage to join all you get is a sky that you float in and the words "Server Shutdown" in the corner. I'll appreciate if you can bring it back online, as well as fix the pipeworks item drop bug.

No news yet? The server was a very nice one with some very good buildings. Perhaps it could be brought back up if technic and pipeworks where disabled and some other way of getting the shapes from the CNC machine would be added?
