I want to start a new server since the radcrab one has been griefed and i have no idea how to create one, 1. THE SERVER CREATION THREAD IS MORE CONFUSING THEN TRYING TO SPELL WORDS IN ALPHABET SOUP! SO DONT YELL AT ME FOR NOT LOOKING! i have no idea where to start so can someone that has made a server personally walk me through it step-by-step? And how to like install mods into it and make a awesome server that is fun and isnt griefed, if anyone can help me please reply.

The easy way, with the graphical interface, is to start a game from the "advanced" tab. Leave the address field blank and the client will start it's own server. To test, open another client (keep the first one open) and connect to 127.0.0.1 (that address tells minetest to connect to your own computer) with a different username.
Next make it available over the Internet. The easy way is to use a VPN like remobo, but everyone who wants to play will need to use it too.
The preferred way is port-forwarding, as it doesn't require additional software. Exactly how to do it depends on your brand of router; find your internal ip, google your router model, figure out how to access your router settings, and forward port 30000 to port 30000 on your internal ip.

ok i made a server with ip addresss or 63.131.223.169 and port of 30505, but no one has been able to get on to it i have tested it and can get on it with multiple accounts and i have it hooked up with my router, can you try to get on it and if not explain what might have went wrong
