Glass: There is a lot of deserts with sand. It looks like greifers are acting like magpie, they taking shining stuff.

day after ban, randy wasnt banned that day his privs were revoked, the next day death made an account on forum, get your facts straight, death had been on the server before randy's privs were revoked if you had been paying attention to everything ppl were saying you could have easily know that but obviously you werent cuz you're to damn stubborn to give him a chance your stuck on the thought that hes randy, i can tell you hes not, why would he use 2 accounts on the same server and both have privs and one likes ppl that the other doesnt like at the same time? can you answer me that. and the link expired, he can change his FB link. and also if you had been paying attention you would see what i suggested you do, unban IP keep randy's privs revoked and change his password so he cant get on, if a third players joins from that IP thats prolly randy. as long as death doesnt do anything wrong you should allow him the ability to play, it very unfair. he hasnt done anything wrong.

The majority of bans on this server are dealt with unfairness, lack of forgiveness, and purely stubbornness. Neuro and Death, you'll never win this battle, I was once in a position very similar to yours, I had stolen a few glass panes (Quantity: 2-3) and I begged for forgiveness for over a week. But that heartless server moderator has nothing in him that merely nudges on a sense of forgiveness.

Neuro, I think you're ignoring some options here... #1. Why would Death's dad even play this, if he is real. #2. Randy might've thought it'd be funny to create 2 accounts, one for trolling and griefing. The other for playing nice boy.... It's very possible he did create 2 accounts just for fun.

No one has touched on this yet, so I'll do so.

What if the father told the son about the server? That would explain the registration dates. Also, check online time in logs if possible, if they come on about the same time. As I have experience running MC servers, I doubt Death/randy is telling the truth though.

Also, @slendergirl, I believe in second chances. On all my servers, greif banning was this:
1st time: Warn, 2nd: kick, 3rd: temp ban 5 days, 4th: Perma ban.

I'm probably too lenient, but if it was a major greif, than it went straight to temp-ban/perma.

Moderator is to serve the community. If you claim that I'm too restrictive, I will change the rules.

1. All first time banned players will be unbanned. (like Obiewann1111)
2. Randy will be unbanned, but i will change his password (he was guilty more times), so you can play HELLO_IM_DEATH.
3. I will rollback any greif, You still can send greif reports. So, if player "zzzzz" build house and greif another, I will rollback all his actions, his house disappears.
4 I will ban players after 3 big* greif reports. big* - more than 10 blocks.

I hope you like new rules, please don't blame if the number of greifs will increase.

I will unban HelloImDeath/Randy and Obiewann1111, if any one else wants to be unbanned please send me PM, or post here.

I hope that at least some of you understood my previous rules, I wanted to protect the work of other players, but I'm here for you. And that you have the final say.

To be honest, I liked the previous rules. Griefing is griefing, and it destroys people's work. I had my house griefed; I don't want the person to be able to come back on. I certainly don't want Randy back on.
Yes, the server can be rolled back, I admit that. But it seems like more work for Cactuz (because griefing WILL go up).
I believe the former rules were fair and discouraged griefers more than these, in my opinion, incredibly lenient ones.
I think Death is Randy, because no adult would act like that or talk like he did during the entire debacle.

I'm not posting to try to get Cactuz to change the rules, I'm just saying that I'm not looking forward to the onslaught of griefers that are apt to pour in and that I appreciated the former rules and what they did.

Ok, I've got an idea for the crafting school:

You could build it near a mountain and a sea. At the sea you can simulate a beach where you can find sand and clay. In the mountain, you can build a mine, where a player with "give"-priv can put some ores-in-stones (only for demonstration). You could explain where to find this ore and what you can do with it......
I think this would be very realistic :)

@Skies: We can see how this goes, if it becomes a disaster, than we can go back to the previous ruleset. However, on my servers, we had very few greifers with a minimum of 4 people on at all times.

I may've just been lucky.

Thanks, I still think that HELLO_IM_DEATH is Randy, too. But you saw previous post they are clearly against old rules and they believe Randy couldn't be HelloImDeath. Most of them believe life is simple, easy, good always wins and everything has happy end. No, life isn't fair is cruel, other people isn't fair and they will cheat, if it were otherwise then why in the world are law enforcement? Because some people doesn't want to be fair and stick to rules.

The best would be if we all can vote and decide: "No mercy law" or "New freedom law".

Alright, alright. Here's why I changed my mind.

I've been in his shoes, and did not like it one bit. I was telling the truth. But nonthelesss people thought I was lying.

I also liked the old rules also. It seemed more fair that griefers should be perma banned. But redcrab NEEDS, I mean needs.
To put rules in the first post. When i first started out I hade NO idea what griefing even was. Some very nice person Named Inocudom, taught me what griefing was, And how to get privs. thats how I started out. Also robro was helping me alot.

I just didn't want imdeath to be hurt that we didn't believe him. I also believe that ALL of the people that come here for the first time. Should read the ENTIRE first post by redcrab. I think it is very possible for Randy to be IAD (I am death).

But I didn't want to take a chance with that. But I still think we should keep the old rules and have griefers banned! :-)

If the people that build their buildings keep an eye on them and chase off people that try to grief them, things might be a little more safe on this server. A good neighborhood watch can bring crime down. Where are all of the griefers coming from anyway?
