Already explained to bulldog what his issue most likely is (his client appears to be out of date. Advised he get a daily git build from PilzAdam's forum thread).

Bulldog and sword: Sorry again about that building you were working on. Worldedit barfed while moving it, but the ground is prepared enough for you to rebuild it. Remember, keep it at least 1m back from the sidewalk, and don't build on the sidewalk or the road. :-)

Well the worldedit mod did that, but thankfully sfan5 just put a fix through today to prevent future damage.

I do not want this post to be misunderstood but I seem to have issues with some one with the username "doyouseemysword123" and "bulldog1". They seem to have occupied some of my buildings they might have considered abandoned.

I have to work for a living so my sparetime may be limited ...

and while hanging in the air because I'm typing in the forum someone pours a bucket of lava on my avatar ... I'm a little confused .. oh well at least he said sorry ... couldn't see if he was grinning though.

I might have been busy a lot last week, so it might have appeared there was no one around for a while.
So to make it clear I am still working on the Northern Inn, on the path to the west, the fishing hut, the castle, the cottage and somewhat to the south of that the cavernsystem. Also as far as I know streams and rivers as well as waterfalls and ponds above sealevel do not generate naturally on this server - so - although it might not be clearly visible the area along the path and the road to the north and to the south of the Inn is somewhat landscaped. All streams, waterfalls and ponds on higher area are handcrafted. Similary many plants and trees have been placed or planted on purpose.

So "doyouseemysword123" and "bulldog1" please remove the outer doors from the "Norther Inn" and around the Travelnet cabin in the cavern. (Or Vanessa if that is possible)
I had not planed to "protect" the area but I might be wrong on this.

I have restored three destroyed nodes on my "Gridknot" travelnet. That may have happened by accident, I remember the problems I had when I first used them. ... Oh forgot one restored one was destroyed 20minutes later by lava ... will have to fix the lava damage later. Maybe other travelnets schould be checked for damage.

As far as I am concerned these issues may be age related so might be fixed by simply telling individualls how to behave. Providing that they did anything wrong at all because I'm not sure how the rules on this server are in relation to modifieing structures created by others.


hmm my castle seems to have cellar now I cant remember to have put that there ??

And now for somethin else.

VanessaE if you happen to be in the area, you may like to visit the fishing hut on the path between the Northern Inn along the north road and the castle to the west of it. The hut was built some days before I planted some trees near to it. If you go inside you may study how the tree grew into the hut. It may have bleeded through some corners or considered some blocks as not solid. Dont know wether this really is an issue with "more_trees" or even undesired at all. Haven't seen the like before though. (btw the machinery inside is not mine, someone else placed that there. haven't a clue what it is supposed to do)

Actually the rule is that under no circumstances is someone allowed to alter someone else's structure, for any reason, without permission from the owner or builder, or me. There are no "abandoned" structures on this server, even if they look like it. Such shall be treated as if they're still owned and maintained.

As for the other stuff you mentioned, I think we covered that adequately in-game. :-)

hmmm being that so I'd like to be allowed to tinker with the road system ... as I have added junctions and thus destroyed fences and sidecurbs - oops. But I guess that is why roads shouldn't be completely protected.
But to be ernest I indeed was considering tweaking some of the roads and adding some structures to the major junction areas - providing I have the time and good ideas. The structures on ringroad west developed from playing with someone, though the stargate temple is defunk now. For one thing I was thinking of some generic structure to indicate directions and something to contain travelnet development, maybe similar to Interchange station.

Something else I was discussing offline with others was an arboretum or even botanical garden to showcase all trees and plants together with names, maybe some basic notes and connected saplings. This would include some heavy landscaping. We was thinking of the area to the west of spawn area city. Something including different biomes and some lake coast. Just musing. There is a major garden show near my place this summer so I might get some inspiration there. Along the same line - anything planned for gardening? Something like bushes, hedges small decorative trees and the like?

Tweaking roads is fine, I just don't want people building stuff ON them (a tunnel or similar structure well above the road is fine, like the Gateway on the south road).

I like the idea of that garden - please do go ahead and build such a thing, and use whatever space you need for it (those trees can be rather large :-) ).

Added Pilzadam's simple mobs mod today, but set only to enable peaceful mobs (rats and sheep for now, until he adds others).

@bulldog1 nevermind, been hanging out together so thats forgotten. Kept your frontdesk, so your name is still part of my building ;-) Together we might well be the major foodchain on the server.

My world has grown somewhat small.
For some time attempts to connect the world wouldn't load beyond this:

I couldn't leave the chunk and when after some reconnect attempts more loaded it stopped to load after a certain point.
Client side or server side problem?

Yes sheep can jump fences, xfences and anything 1 high... or jump another sheep then jump out of my pit traps that are 2 deep. What is more funny is seeing a mouse (rat) jump a sheep to get out of the pit.

Rats don't drown. They do die when thrown in lava but you have to catch them first.

Frankly I HATE this mod. Yes, hate. The spawn rate is simply f*ing high. Where's the lasso so we can capture like in previous versions? How do we sheer the sheep for wool?

I like to see a mousetrap for this mob mod. One steel ignot and one wood for about 12 traps. Mouse crosses the trap ...SNAP! Dead! User would have to pickup and place again to reset the trap. Maybe make the recipe 1 food, 1 ignot and 1 wood for 12 traps but it becomes a magnet for these friggin' rodents.

Another thing I would change is the face of the sheep to have snout stick out more. Frankly it looks like a pig in a pullover hoodie. LOL ... NOT!

BTW, the server is crashing regularly.

half the sheep, no spawning over certain ratio per chunk and the rats should keep to dark places. Can confirm several server shutdowns today

The lasso is part of mobf, not simple mobs. Only simple mobs are installed on Vanessas server. Sheering a sheep is done with right-click. If you think there are too many on the server, have a look at my sheep farm at the Notobamaland-Server! All I did there was fence off a pit...and sheer them occasionally.
A mouse trap sounds like a nice idea.
Maybe a limited form of mobf might be more suitable. Manually placed animals inside a fenced-off region usually behave very well.

There is changes that vanessa should add the latest git... like mobs have a lifespan of 10 minutes. Sheep can be tamed with wheat.

Also can you ban Simson66 which is swearing up a storm in capslock and claim to sleep with my mother. Considering she's been dead for couple of years, he can join her.... there is a spare plot. Sick. he's trying to PvP everyone. Must be Landmine's buddy.

Sorry about the frequent crashes, my computer's been unstable lately due to my own testing outside of the server. Plus, I've pulled in a few technic bugfixes and the latest minetest git. Also updated simple mobs. This should improve things a bit.

Nope, they're still around, just better-controlled now thanks to an update to the mobs mod.

I never told anyone I had 0.4.7, like sfan5 says it ain't out yet. I used that version number in the topic for this server to indicate that 0.4.6-release isn't new enough to use here safely, but since that's obviously confusing, I've changed it.

Seems rotor112 has been screwing around griefing on the server according to others there. His interact is revoked and password scrambled.

Playzooki, I'll do what I can but as the area in question is not protected, there's nothing to stop others from building there, plus I can't tell what is yours and what isn't. As for your calculator, you'll need to fix it, I don't know how your circuit works.

You'll have to sign in while I'm on so I can protect it (I consider this requirement a bug in the node_ownership mod).

Vanessa when you get the chance take the travel net to the apple wood cafe and see go left and see what someone left as a surprise. Its lava! I was going to my restaurant and i ran into a road full of lava. I died because of the lava. I think we need to find out who did it and ban them from the server
