First picture from geo satellite Nihtna-X II

Three days ago the satellite Nihtna-X II reached its orbit around Xanadu.

Equipped with the best cameras from the minetest development comunity and a new enhanced color filter,
it began to scan the surface around the central region of this planet.

Surprising details were discovered at the first produced map, showing the creativity of builders around the world,
which invites the traveler at the ground for a visit.

While all systems are tested now and the satellite is in its scheduled orbit, the engineers at the ground are waiting
for more impressions of this fascinating planet.

Glacier biomes are under increased observation now since the first gingerbread is offered in supermarkets now.

There are also first rumors about a project of the main sponsor of the Nihtna-X II project, Xaagle Ink., named "Xaagle Nodeview".
Privacy concerned citizens forming first protests like here in the little, once peaceful village of "Krralake", hiding their houses behind privacy fences and telling Xaagle what they think of the project.

Thank you very much, Kilarin! :) I really had fun running around there and finding never seen buildings (unfortunately the mapper doesn't shows all the different huge pixelarts around there).

I still think the compassgps would be a handy tool to mark and share those places ingame, instead of having a stack of slips of papers with quick noted coords and coffee stains at the desk. Just a wish, but I thought it can be brought up again after a longer time now. :)

we thank you very much for your questions and hope to answer them to your completey satisfaction.

We consulted two experts of this subject, Mrs. M. Read and Mr. J. Sparrow. Concidering their replies

("Yarrr, yarrr, yarrr. A ship is the only home of true bloody buccaneers, cleaving the waves along the fabled spanish main. Space? Yarr, lots of space in them for all the treasures, yarr, yarr. What? Flying? Yarr, shhh, don't call the Flying Dutchman! Underwater? Of course they are underwater, when we looted them, yarr,yarr.")

we concluded that

a ship is a watercraft that can drive on the water, under water and fly in (probably wet) air nodes (mostly provided an undead crew).

So lets just say, all your examples count. ;)

And of course, a ship is what you absolutely need to follow the highly recommended guidelines from WWAPD, No. 4. Yarrr! :D

You can request that and post a link to the skin you want or attach it to your post (like in this post). Then the admins will decide if they add it for you.
Afaik its done for players who are a certain time long at the server.

To be extra sure: the server admins are Shinji_Ikari (host) and TenPlus1.

I know there is this: MTSatellite: A "realtime" web mapping system for Minetest. And the Liberty Land server had a webpage with an updated map. That was quite cool made and handy. Also I know mystik has experiences with this. I don't understand anything of this technic :(

However this comes in concideration or not, since it was fun I would like to map midville, capital city and noob town the next times. Of course, its much more easier and regularly done if Ten or Titanius would do that since they have the complete map. :)

Ahh, and I noticed I totaly forgot to link to the used tools. What a shame, sorry for that.
I used the MinetestMapperGui by addi and the colors.txt by VanessaE and extended it step by step and hour after hour by hand to cover most of the missing nodes. So, maybe it doesn't fit every time the expected colors (e.g. I'm not satisfied with the dried dirt color). Will cleanup my file and give a link.
Somehow I have the feeling this color detection could be done something like automatic by the computer, but I don't know how.
