Because I switched server from laptop to Linux box with 1gb of ram. :/. I needed the laptop sorry.
I will to a manual reset to free ram in a while to see if that helps.

Lag is now up to 20 seconds, even worse than the 12 second lag last night. Server is basically unplayable at this point.

Edit: I stand corrected. Now it is approaching an astonishing 30 seconds.

A few players are blaming the extreme lag on players using tnt. If true, can you disable the tnt recipe for now?

Good thing about the lag: I'm doing things other than play all day :)

I'm happy to report that the city subway system is now operational! Mad props to twoelk for helping to excavate most of the tunnels and for designing the subway junction that I restored and protected last week.

The downtown station is accessible directly from Guest3306's shop at spawn. A west-end station is under construction at Lava Mountain Underpass. There will also be connections to 843jdc's estate, GoldFireUn's compound, and jtee's homestead. At present rails are completed to 250 meters on the west line, the south line, and the east line. Stay tuned for more updates on progress!



Also huge kudos to maikerumine for adding a wealth of new skins! This is esp. nice for us girls because we had almost no decent choices up till now. Here's a group photo that maike took of GoldFireUn, aidenminer, dan, and myself at the nearly completed subway junction this past week for the unofficial "grand opening" party. I'm so glad to have my favourite skin again :)

FYI: someone griefed my frame around the doors made out from bones, the funny thing is that it was under the protection block. Other then that i have seen some people grief with TNT around my location and i am also seeing more and more people with hacked clients on the server (fast swimming, auto pick up items, long reach to punch, spawning right from the bones after dead, speed). So be careful !

You can see that where use to be a bones around the iron doors is nothing now, just air:

This doesnt make sense, i loggged in as a guest and couldnt take any bones. bone code is same as 4.14 just server engine changed. i always run subgame for master codes.

I can't play like this, some hacker with name "nickyy" and then "supp" with speed hack and spawning right from his bones keeps killing me and i can't get back to my bones with all my valuables because he keeps killing me.... this is BS!! Vote doesn't help a squat !! Check the log files i'm sure those two have the same or similar IP.

I had had something similar happen to my house, which was protected. Wood, beds, and signs were all gone.

Hmm... This may be due to the extreme lag the server is experiencing right now.

It is really nice that you made a cool hacked client and can mine ALL the ores from spawn and others mines.

Thus griefing the server, therefore you are banned for a year. Server will be offline by then so forget about it.

Seriously man, STOP your cheating, it RUINS the gameplay for others.
Go play on an anarchy server.

/me shakes head at gold_digger. Vertical mining is how you should do it. But then that kinda makes cheating not worth while and messes up your area. You should have known better than to do that. I'll miss jackspades but oh well.

Yes, I pulled the plug.
It is more trouble than it is worth to have a server. There are three options:
1. Whitelist the server which is a total pain.
2. No rules don't complain to admin server, full cheating, lava, grief etc.
3. Stop hosting and find another hobby.

In summary:

Oh no ;( But I am coming to understand why you did this. That one reason why I preferred to play on JT2 instead of CW.
I am sorry to see it gone. Your hard work and dedication has been very much appreciated by me and many other players. JT2 will be missed. But I hope to see you around the MT universe :)

Meanwhile, you might want to take a relaxing long flight in FlightGear. Set the auto-pilot and snooze xD

I am sorry to see this server gone, too. :( But it must have been hard work trying to keep up with all the complaints and other problems.

If nothing else can be done, could you at least upload the server map? I know there are quite a few people who had builds and who probably don't want to lose them.

yesterday I wandered east and found a nice large body of water with some mountains beyond. There I found a hidden lake and as night began built a little base at it's shores. Then I climbed the nearby peaks to get an overview and found a well formed peak that was perfect for a castle

- and then it struck me -

I had been here before,
I had built a castle here before,
It was the exact peak I had built my far castle on the first Just Test server on

It is my destiny to build a castle on this peak :-D

indeed I do hope that after a good rest you put the plug back in.
maybe dissallow new players for a while just as Xanadu
and slowly weed out the troublesom players
delegate more to a team of moderators
the server has come nicely so far
it would be a pity
if it was gone

I will make white list. There are white list for all who built near spawn, if not on lid please ask here for access. I did a mapshrink to regrow ores lost, however all this big caves got jacked up, therefore no shrink and mine away from spawn to get ores.

As it turns out, a brilliant man make the ultimate client to have bots mine only ores and no stone with a huge reach. This is reasoning for total lockdown and map shrinking of sorts.

It is in everyone's best interest to not have automatic mining bots raping all valuable ores be with your feet, the only way to prevent is to box up and white list.

Blame all the hacker cheaters for this.
