PilzAdams? That's what I used. I also asked it all three mapper topics, and got no response (C++ mapper, Python mapper, and PilzAdam's plugin which works by using the Python mapper).

Awesome. I was going to do that. With recent developments though, I don't have the time. Most of the time I have for Minetest will be spent on that underground path, which is easier to use for long distance travel, but quite inconvenient for short distance travel, just because of it's depth.

It's not over the tunnel, and if you updated the map you would see it, it's just a mass of cobble right now

After much strugling with Git and Github, I finally managed to get a copy of the server's game directory uploaded. I've decided I do not like git or Github, but everyone else here is using it. It would be helpful if we were all using the same system so we wouldn't have to learn to use fifteen different systems, so I guess I'll just deal with it.

Notes:
* whisper was removed, both from the server and from the game directory. It was poorly implemented in several ways, and I plan to rewrite something better from scratch.
* skins was removed from the game directory, but not from the server. Zeg9 seems to be missing. He hasn't logged into the forum for over a month. Since he's not here to accept my pull request, I'm going to steal his WTFPLed code, rework it a bit, and include it in the game on Github. When I'm done, it may not be as good for general use on servers, instead possibly being specificity set up for this server's game.

The first post has been updated to include the Github link.

Feel free to make pull requests if you want to add something, but please don't be offended if I decline. I have very specific restrictions on what gets added, and even if something meets those standards, if I don't like it, I won't add it.

Elvendale will be open to people moving in by next friday(8th) if i get the walls and the houses, and the noble houses, yea theres no way i'm meeting the deadline if i don't get help

It is allowed but there are no examples as of yet(except for a geometric structure made of mese near the trading center)

my house has a cactus top so it is green. make platforms in the water for a statue building contest. I would love to host it and judge it. i suggest postingpics of it here.

Issue after issue presented itself, at one point, even turning all the world into unknown nodes. But we have it sorted out now, and the server is up to Minetest 0.4.5.

I think that there never was a problem on windows for 0gb.us_game because same symbol names (not caps) end up like this in the file names.
Your phone or window isn't wide enough to display the code box. If it's a phone, try rotating it to landscape mode.

No, there is no need to test this on Windows, if you have a basic understanding of what a case-insensitive file system means. And no, I would NEVER say Windows was ANYTHING like another system. There are many operating systems out there, and many are alike, but Micosoft doesn't follow standards, instead defining a new level of sucky. They call this level "Windows".

Also, are you looking at user files generated by Minetest, or the point files generated by my plugins? I'm aware that Minetest user files append a digit to file names to compensate for Windows's insufferable case insensitivity. It's able to keep track of the original user name because the file has a line in it like this:

Using that, it can determine what user that file belongs to.

A system such as that doesn't work for 0gb.us_game. Minetest reads all the user files into memory and keeps them there. So it knows at all times what file is what. the plugins in 0gb.us_game on the other hand, only read the files into memory when the user that needs them logs in. When the user logs out, the file is forgotten. I can't simply append digits and make it work.

So yes, it's incompatible.

EDIT: I invite you to try my game in a test world, and remove the limiters. Do your experiment again, but start setting warp points. Then log in as another character with a file name clash, and you can warp to the first character's warp points. You'll see the exact problem I predicted is very much a reality.

Yeah, I found that too. It's been fixed for a couple days. Re-download, and it should be fine.
