Hi Geomorpho!
Are there any more connection problems? I did al I could to update and fix things, server has been running pretty well for almost a day now.
THANKS FOR LIKING THE SERVER!!!
Hi again maikerumine :)
Just to update with further information...
With the same Intel/Mint desktop system as before :
My pre-built Minetest client from the minetestdevs ppa is still crashing at the above 20% point when trying to enter your E.S.M.C. --- yet has no problem signing-into other worlds. This is exactly what I reported the other week, no change there.
But...
Last night I tried building from source on this desktop system, following pretty-much the same formula as I posted previously which worked on the Fedora-laptop. I needed to install a slew of dependencies before it would complete the build. And it did. And it successfully signed-into E.S.M.C. :)
At least this tends to suggest that my earlier theory was wrong. The 20%-crash is probably not due to some consequential difference between nVidia vs Intel GL graphics.
What it * is * due to, however, I still have no idea.
Maybe their ppa-build links against different library versions than here locally-built. I do, after all, use a number of dev ppa repositories including xorg-edgers for X display stuff and kubuntu-ppa/backports.
I'm hoping it's not long until the KDE version of Linux Mint 18 is released, so that we can switch from the quite-old-now Ubuntu-14.04 LTS -based version we have presently.
Bulletpoint : I built locally on this desktop system and successfully did an E.S.M.C. login without any 20% crash.
Hopefully this helps someone somewhere... :)
