George, that would be awesome!! I will definitely want a copy of the db, the other data in the world folder, and minetest.conf. There may be some other things I need that I'm not aware of yet. I have been working hard trying to get ready but its taking lots of time.

Is the technology mod code running on ayntest available anywhere? The original from jimy-byerley is quite different and I'd rather not try to recreate the ayntest behavior unless I have to.

All the data for Liberty Land is up here http://178.62.165.220/
The mt.tar.bz is 19G when uncompressed.
I'll leave this up until 30th September.

It appears to be at a friend's computer that the map has Connection Issues, but i tested also in his computer the connection to other servers and it is all ok.

The server name is mt.rbose.org, and we checked also the basic connectivity between his computer and the server, also discarding problems with the DNS.

I attach here a screenshot of the issue, hoping it has all the information we need. His box is a Win7 x86. We checked username, configuration of the game, version (0.4.13) and nothing seems to work

Any suggestion? I appreciate your help.

It is definitely not a server problem but a routing problem. Do you and your friend use different ISP (Internet Service Provider)?

The last public IP address in the traceroute belongs to Telmex:

"net.co - Colombia - Telmex Colombia S.A."

http://190.157.4.206.ipaddress.com/

After that you get the timeout and then an internal IP address 10.x.x.x

See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IP_addres ... _addresses

So if your friends computer isn't infested with malware that does nice rerouting stuff, then it is probably a problem with his ISP or someone behind the ISP.

Proper traceroute (from central europe):

Your phone or window isn't wide enough to display the code box. If it's a phone, try rotating it to landscape mode.
Code: Select all
$ traceroute mt.rbose.org
traceroute to mt.rbose.org (5.189.136.49), 30 hops max, 60 byte packets
 1  192.168.178.1 (192.168.178.1)  1.415 ms  2.200 ms  2.950 ms
 2  xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx)  24.989 ms  25.301 ms  26.225 ms
 3  xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx)  28.078 ms  28.387 ms  30.601 ms
 4  xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx)  31.440 ms  32.776 ms  33.445 ms
 5  hbg-b1-link.telia.net (62.115.8.173)  82.208 ms  82.582 ms  82.674 ms
 6  nug-i1-link.telia.net (62.115.139.165)  57.590 ms  43.018 ms  43.010 ms
 7  gw01-n.contabo.net (62.115.36.238)  101.868 ms  102.215 ms  102.273 ms
 8  5.189.136.49 (5.189.136.49)  102.868 ms  104.215 ms  107.358 ms

Thank you so much for your answer. I'd check what might be happening. I tried to use too a proxy from Germany to connect to the Server but without luck. It makes me doubt a little that he can connect to other servers withput problems.

I will check your advices and keep you posted about it. Thank you again.

Hmm thank you very much for not deleting my entry:/ I thought you can do me favor in the name of my privacy:/ sigh

George: don't you think that publishing someone (even hashed) password without their permission is rude? I asked you to not share it prior your publishing LL's code..

Thats exactly why i left MT community.. nobody cares about privacy, about what licence says etc.. Sad fact is, you endangered privacy of every past player, even when your server was strictly libre, following licences etc.. Very sad.
You should update your link and remove login data.
I reject your reality and substitute my own. (A. Savage, Mythbusters)
I'm not modding and/or playing minetest anymore. All my mods were released under WTFPL. You can fix/modify them yourself. Don't ask me for support. Thanks.

I've disabled the download indefinitely.
Removing the file and re-compressing the archive takes more time than I have right now.
If someone still wants the data, please update this thread and I'll see what I can do.

Cheers
