Software Version

This server runs Minetest 0.4.14 from the official Github repository, running under Debian 7. Other branches/forks of Minetest may occasionally be used, for testing purposes. This server requires version 0.4.13 or newer of the Minetest client. Older versions will display some items incorrectly.

This server has an extra mod which disallows entirely-numeric and "Guest123456" types of names. Please choose a proper username when you sign on.

This server shuts down briefly for backups at 6:00am UTC (1:00 am EDT) daily.

Could I get the much beloved and oft requested interact privs for the server?

Small update: I've adjusted the backup schedule of this server to occur at 10:00 am UTC (5:00 am EST) to better coincide with the quietest times my servers tend to experience. Also, for anyone interested, I've posted a publicly-accessible server stats page, here (updated once a minute):

As these servers have picked up, I've found myself having to adjust my backup schedule to avoid knocking too many people off for the backup to occur. I've pushed the time back a few hours so that the backup cycle will now occur at 1:00 pm UTC (8:00 am EST).

Don't worry about the IRC thing, that's just for chatting. Just sign onto the Minetest server nce like with any other server, let me know what your name is there, and I'll grant interact. This is a totally different game than the usual ones, so expect it to work differently. :-)

Hmm, for some reason I cannot throw sticks to make a bonfire. Is there any way you can fix this? I can still use other people's bonfires though.

Normally you just drop them on the ground by pressing 'q', and then punch them while wielding a 'lighter' (which is itself crafted from two sticks, I think).

Due to item_pickup, most thrown sticks are picked up immediately. Try to throw them far enough away, or try throwing them into a hole. It may require several tries to get it working.

Notice to all users of my servers: I have changed the morning restart time to 1:30 am to better coincide with the slowest period my servers seem to experience lately. This change affects all of my servers.
