It seems that yet another big server goes down: Liberty Lands.

In the past other servers shutdown, because of a lack of time and / or funding to run the server. Or upgrading a too weak VPS.

Has anybody made experiences with donations via patreon, flattr or similar to get donation for running your server?

I did paypal donations. I think I made about $60 in about a year.

we run ours since 3 years at low charge - nothing :-) but claiming donation will be a good thing as long people choose to support the work - give it a try -
