FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

Howdy!

I am feeling particularly inept at this and I don't know why. My kids want to play together but I can't for the life of me get things to connect. I've looked at all the stuff for setting up a server and what not, but I'm just having no luck at all getting them together to play. They just want to play locally together. Help?!

Ehm...maybe some more info would help...
- what error are you getting
- whats the server you are trying to run
- did you setup your IP correctly on both computers
- do you have any Mods installed
- did you setup yr config file properly

Maybe just connecting to one of the awesome servers online would be much more easier way. That way is everything already setup for you by the professionals with Mods and mapgens and all kind of nice stuff what you would probably miss in yr vanillla server and yr kids can still play together. ;)

What OS are you using?
Are you all connected in the same network or are you apart?

See, you want to run a normal server or you only want to host a LAN game (if all the devices are connected to your house network or wifi)

Simple Question if you don't understand what here the people say:

-You use Windows, Linux or Mac
-Who posts or threads you saw?
-Why you say there is an error, they can't connect?, maybe says this direction don't exists?

Only some information and we will try to solve your problem, is easy we only need the information.
