wow, it's cool that I followed that list almost perfectly without even reading it! apart from advertising, which i have no idea how to do nicely. suggestions?

Maybe I can help with that part if you make a message I can relay it to citizens of other games. My multi game gaming clan and it's website is a good bridge between games.

Update: you now can't respawn in protected areas that aren't yours. so if your bed is in an area that has been captured by an enemy, you'll respawn near spawn until you: A: capture the area back. or B: sleep in a different bed, putting your spawn somewhere else.

Also, though this was implemented a while ago: players no longer can /join teams, they must ask the leader of their team of choice to join them.

I think this server has become a game of whack-a-mole, when players are offline capping flags is just too easy, and making a rule about it would be unfair if the player is inactive.

I suggest some kind of automated defenses or npc gaurds.

so like, npcs that spawn from the flags and attack warring players?

I was thinking also maybe have a set window of time where you can capture flags, so you don't have to be on 24/7 to protect your flag.

I prefer that you can capture flags anytime you want... ...if you survive the castle guards that is :)

I think they should maybe be neutral mercenary mobs that spawn from a mercenary hiring post block thingy? that you can "tame" with gold ingots and they will attack the players set it to attack (like a protection block set allowed players thing?) and they will attack them. Maybe have a way to "upgrade them" by giving them iron armor and weapons?

I perfer that instead of each flag has the same number of gaurds having to work to get them and be able to work to have more than your enemies.
