Hey guys, just started a server
i need someone to log on and see if it works

That's your internal LAN IP address. You'll need to refer to some of the things in this thread to make it internet playable: http://c55.me/minetest/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1037

so does that mean nobody can connect?

Correct, the 192.168.x.x is a private IP address not usable on the Internet. You need to forward a port (ex: 30000) from your router to your server and then post your internet IP. Most of this and other things are in the thread I posted.

Nobody outside of you're home network can connect to your internal IP address. You can follow RabbiBob's instructions so people can connect to you directly, or, easier, use Remobo. Simply run the Remobo client, and share your username so people can add you. Several other Minetest servers use Remobo, so plenty of people should have it.

With the internal IP address you posted? Yes, it should work fine with people on your own network.

ok cool, im installing that remobo now, if i setup a server with that, will it use a lot of bandwidth or anything? because i don't want my internet bill to be more than i pay now

I haven't noticed any difference with and without Remobo, not entirely sure though.

I'm connected now. Just keep Remobo running, that's it. I used "MyComputer.shaunbrown1995.remobo.com" as the IP.
